Peruvian opal is the national stone of Peru, relatively rare and found only in the Andes mountains. Due to its random internal crystalline composition, peruvian opal lacks the fire, or color play of a usual opal, giving us soothing shades of blue, green and white instead.
Considered a gift from Pachamama, the earliest Inca goddess of fruitfulness and Mother Earth, with high water content and earthly hues, peruvian opal makes the Secret Garden mala a calming and relaxing piece. Associated with the heart chakra, blue opal is believed to take away any tensions from communications and allow a steady, open flow of creative ideas.Ā
